Nobody tells you how many boxes of kleenex you will go through
or how many boxes of cookies you would end up eating.

Nobody tells you how hard getting out of bed will be
or how much of a task facing the day would be.

Nobody tells you how invincible you will feel
or how much self-hate you will have to endure

Nobody tells you how you might have to give up your favorite restaurant
and food
and TV shows
because they hold too many memories you don’t want to remember.

Nobody tells you how the wall feels like it’s closing up on you
Or how much anger you will feel–towards yourself but mostly towards that person.

Nobody tells you how much it will hurt
..when your heart gets broken.

It hurts as hell but somehow, your body figures out a way to heal. The human anatomy is pretty amazing–the part were it self heals even after all the heartbreaks and turmoil is pretty amazing. It gets better. You figure out a system that helps you get through the day.
You find new restaurants you will love
and new food
and new Tv shows.

It all works out. You might not know what you want, but with this experience, you now know what you don’t want and you can go from here. You will come out smarter and stronger.

Maybe.

I hope so.
