“Do This Don’t”
So you’ve officially made it to Day 5 of the writing challenge and you’re probably wondering “‘Do This Don’t’, what is that supposed to mean?” So I’m here to give some meaning to today’s theme.
There are a lot of things that people have told me in the past to not do. I’ve had people tell me not to go to school for design, to not get a credit card in my twenties, to not have sex before marriage. Some of these things I ended up agreeing with – while others, I felt were okay to do, so long as I did them in a different way.
So today’s writing challenge is to dig deep within yourself and figure out those things in life that people have told you not to do, but that you have done and would recommend others to do (so long as they don’t do them carelessly). Perhaps you got married young, or had children young. Or maybe you’re shacking up. Or perhaps you dumpster dive.
Whatever it is – share it, and give encouragement to those who are considering doing that in which they were told “don’t”.
I look forward to reading your entries! And I think it would be quite fun if you left them in the comments section below!
Don’t forget to hashtag your tweets/’grams with #flowersinthewild, so we can locate your entries with ease!
Best of wishes and thanks for being a Flow-er, in the Wild!
